Uruguay’s 22‑year‑old midfielder Facundo Bernal arrived from Brazil to seal Betis' first signing for the 2026‑27 campaign. After passing his medical, he joined the Luis del Sol training complex for an introductory session.

The €9. 5 million deal gives coach Pellegrini a fresh option in midfield.

Bernal will also travel with the squad to the pre‑season camp in Germany.
