Bogotá Launches New Rental Subsidy Program for Vulnerable Households

The Mayor's Office of Bogotá, through its District Secretariat of Habitat, has announced a new initiative aimed at providing crucial economic relief. This program, known as the Temporary Solidarity Rental Program, is designed to support vulnerable households across the capital.

It offers significant monthly monetary aid, reaching up to $1,085,561, which is equivalent to 0. 62 current minimum wages.

The subsidy is provided for a determined period, specifically to facilitate access to temporary housing solutions for those in need. Eligibility for this program is primarily for vulnerable households where the head of the family is of legal age and their monthly income does not exceed one minimum wage.

Furthermore, the program actively prioritizes specific population groups that face heightened socioeconomic barriers or are in situations of significant risk. Interested applicants must meet a series of specific housing and economic conditions as mandated by the District to qualify for this essential benefit.
