The Bogotá Water and Sewerage Company announced scheduled water service interruptions across several districts from August 11 through August 13. The cuts are part of preventive and corrective maintenance, including valve installations and meter replacements.
Affected neighborhoods span Usaquén, Puente Aranda, Tunjuelito, Kennedy, Chapinero, Fontibón, Santa Fe, Ciudad Bolívar, Bosa, as well as the municipalities of Soacha and Gachancipá. Depending on the specific area and the work required, each interruption will last between nine and twenty‑seven hours.
Residents have been urged to store sufficient water and plan activities around the expected downtime. The company emphasized that the measures aim to improve long‑term reliability of the water network.
Authorities will monitor the situation and provide updates should any extensions be necessary.
