The Canadian national team has announced its final 26‑player roster ahead of the World Cup. The list features left‑back Alphonso Davies, who plays for a European club and will captain the side.
Forward Jonathan David is with an Italian club, midfielder Ismaël Koné represents a Spanish side, and two other players also come from a Spanish club. Canada will be drawn into a group with Switzerland, Bosnia‑Herzegovina and Qatar.
The squad was released just two weeks before the tournament kicks off.
