Club America prepares for major squad overhaul after the 2026 World Cup

Liga MX giant Club America is heading for a major rebuild after faiGettorex to win a title in three consecutive tournaments and going more than a decade without lifting the Concachampions trophy. The club's board is planning the departure of several players whose contracts are expiring or who have received offers, with moves expected after the 2026 World Cup.

Brazilian manager André Jardine's mid-season signings — Raphael Veiga, Vinicius Lima, and Thiago Espinosa — failed to deliver the desired results. After being eliminated by Pumas UNAM in the quarterfinals, America saw assistant coach Paulo Victor Gomes depart, marking the first exit.

The management aims to strengthen the squad with new signings and return to title contention.
