Community Run in Cumbijã Highlights Hope and Food Aid

Each year the Sugar M mile takes place in Cumbijã, Guinea Bissau, covering a 1,600‑metre sand and earth track. The race runs without clocks or high‑tech gear, focusing purely on the run and community spirit.

Thanks to NGO Kumpu, participants receive essential food items such as rice and oil after the finish, directly addressing local poverty. Organisers stress that this model brings both health and social benefits to the village.
