Cubs Place Daniel Palencia on IL with Elbow Inflammation

The move comes just one day after Palencia successfully struck out the side in a game against the Rockies. The right-hander will now undergo treatment to manage the inflammation in his elbow.

The team expects him to return once the 15-day period concludes.
