NEW YORK -- Azzi Fudd is headed to Dallas as the No. 1 pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft, with a $500,000 payday awaiting the former UConn star.
Fudd said she is not sure she has the words to describe what being drafted meant to her, adding that it has not fully sunk in yet. Fudd will reunite with former Huskies teammate Paige Bueckers, who was the Wings' top pick last year.
Bueckers and Fudd have given UConn a record seven No. 1 selections in WNBA draft history.
Bueckers was in attendance at the draft alongside Fudd's UConn teammates.
