Donnie Freeman’s Achilles Tear Forces Missed 2026-27 Season at St. John’s

Donnie Freeman transferred to St. John’s after a strong showing at Syracuse, where he was praised for his scoring and defense.

In a preseason workout he suffered a torn Achilles tendon, ruling him out for the entire 2026-27 campaign. The Red Storm now face a significant gap in their backcourt and will look to younger players to fill the void.
