Estadio Azteca Confirmed as Largest Venue for 2026 World Cup

FIFA has confirmed that Estadio Azteca will be the largest venue of the 2026 World Cup with a maximum capacity of 80824 spectators. Across the United States, Mexico, and Canada, 16 stadiums will host a total of 104 matches.

Although it is the largest facility, Estadio Azteca will host the opening match rather than the final. This marks the third time the historic venue has served as the stage for a World Cup opening.
