Formula 1 is developing a backup plan as escalating geopolitical tensions threaten the final races of the season. The conflict between Iran, Israel and the United States forced the cancellation of the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian rounds in April.
Attention now turns to the last two events – Qatar on November 29 and Abu Dhabi on December 6 – whose status remains uncertain. F1 chief Stefano Domenicali admitted that finding suitable replacement dates is extremely difficult.
