Acclaimed actress Isabelle Huppert, aged 73 with a filmography exceeding 120 titles, has been named president of the French Cinematheque. She succeeds Costa‑Gavras, who led the institution for 19 years, becoming its first female head in its 90‑year history.
Huppert previously won the Cannes Best Actress award for 'Violette Nozière' in 1978. Her term runs from 2026 to 2029.
