Jaël Bestué secures European Championship spot in Zagreb

Spanish sprinter Jaël Bestué achieved the European Championship minimum after clocking 22. 80 seconds to finish third in the 200 meters in Zagreb.

The San Cugat del Vallés athlete lowered the required time significantly behind winner Shaunae Miller-Uibo. Fellow Spanish sprinter Lucia Carrillo also set a season-best time while finishing seventh in the final.
