Jayden Adams dies at 25: South Africa midfield star passes away

Jayden Adams, a 25‑year‑old midfielder for Mamelodi Sundowns and the South African national team, passed away unexpectedly. He featured in three matches at the 2026 World Cup, starting against Mexico and the Czech Republic, and scored two qualifying goals for the tournament.

Since joining Sundowns in January 2025, he earned 15 caps for Bafana Bafana. His death has left the South African football community in mourning.
