Jenny Simpson discharged from hospital after cardiac arrest

Jenny Simpson collapsed while competing in a mile race in Raleigh, suffering a sudden cardiac arrest. She was resuscitated by medical staff using CPR and a defibrillator before being hospitalized.

After nine days of treatment, Simpson has been released and will continue her recovery at home in North Carolina.
