John Tortorella will not return as coach of Vegas Golden Knights

John Tortorella was hired for the final eight games of the NHL regular season to lead the Vegas Golden Knights. In that short span he steered the club to the Stanley Cup Final, delivering an unexpected deep playoff run.

The organization has now decided not to renew his contract. The Knights will begin a search for a new head coach ahead of the next season.
