Jorge Luis Cruz Secures Third Place at CDMX Half Marathon

Kenyan runners Simón Maywa and Gladys Cheropms claimed victory in the men's and women's races, while Mexican athlete Jorge Luis Cruz took the men's podium spot. Over 35,000 participants ran the new course from the Hemiciclo to Juárez and the Angel of Independence.

Cruz crossed the line in 1:04:36, marking Mexico's top performance in the event. His result highlights the country's growing presence in long‑distance running.
