Judge David Doty who ruled on landmark NFL cases dies at 96

David Doty served as the US District Judge who presided over numerous NFL labor matters in his Minneapolis courtroom for decades. His 1992 ruling was instrumental in paving the way for the modern free agency system in the league.

Doty has passed away at the age of 96.
