Lacroix replaces injured Saliba for France vs Spain

Maxence Lacroix was a surprise addition to the Frances 2026 World Cup roster but was forced into action against Spain following William Salibas injury. Coach Didier Deschamps trusted the Crystal Palace defender due to his impressive form in March and versatility across the backline.

Lacroix provided stability and proved capable of playing on either side of the defense.
