Marc Marquez Faces Challenges with Ducati Performance at Silverstone

The MotoGP weekend at Silverstone highlighted significant performance gaps, with Aprilia demonstrating a superior machine compared to the Ducati prototype on the British circuit. The track's characteristics, particularly the high corner speed requirements, favored the RS-GP, leaving the Ducati riders at a disadvantage.

Marc Marquez faced severe grip issues as the race progressed, leading to a noticeable drop in performance during the Sprint. As his tires wore down, he was overtaken by several riders, ultimately securing a hard-fought ninth place.

This result leaves him in fourth position in the overall standings, trailing the leader Jorge Martin by 40 points. Marquez acknowledged that he knew he would have to adopt a defensive strategy given the technical limitations he faced.

The performance gap was evident as the race unfolded, with the Ducati struggling to maintain pace in the latter stages. The team now faces the challenge of analyzing these issues before the next round of the championship.
