Matías Fernández-Pardo Chooses Belgium Over Spain

Lille winger Matías Fernández-Pardo, 21, had previously expressed a desire to represent Spain after obtaining a sports passport. He has now opted to play for Belgium and switched his sporting nationality accordingly.

Fernández-Pardo was eligible for three nations thanks to his parents’ different citizenships. The young talent looks forward to featuring for Belgium on the international stage.
