Mexico's football governing body (FMF) received a 42. 8 million‑peso sanction for irregularities in the handling of Fan ID personal data.
The penalty was issued after the Secretariat for Anti‑Corruption and Good Governance uncovered breaches of data‑protection standards. Although Fan ID was introduced to boost stadium security, the federation did not fulfill essential privacy obligations.
