Brazilian club Chapecoense, currently positioned at the bottom of the first division in the Brazilian Championship, has announced a significant squad addition. The team secured the signing of talented midfielder Miguel Carvalho, who previously lifted the UEFA European Under-19 Championship with the Spanish national team.
Born in Brazil and holding Spanish nationality, Carvalho has committed to a contract with the Chapecó-based club spanning two and a half years. This agreement will keep him tied to the institution through December 2028, according to the official statement released by his new club.
This transfer marks the very first professional experience for the young midfielder in his native country. Prior to this new chapter, Carvalho developed his skills within the youth academies of FC Barcelona and Espanyol in Spain.
The acquisition aims to strengthen the squad as the team navigates the challenges of the top tier of Brazilian football.
