Miguel Román has emerged as Celta Vigo's most revalued player this season, marking his breakthrough campaign as a regular first-team midfielder. The Spanish playmaker saw his market value multiply dramatically, reaching the 15 million euro mark thanks to his consistent performances throughout the season.
Despite missing the final third of the campaign due to a fracture in the fifth metatarsal of his left foot, Román accumulated 2003 minutes across 29 matches, scoring one goal and providing three assists. At the time of his injury, he was widely regarded as Celta's most in-form player, bringing balance to Claudio Giráldez's tactical setup.
His impressive season did not go unnoticed by several clubs across Europe. With a contract running until 2028, Román is expected to remain at Celta, though a renegotiation of his deal has not been ruled out.
He was not the only Celta player to see a significant rise in value this season, with goalkeeper Radu, Sergio Carreira, Javi Rodríguez, Javi Rueda, and Williot Swedberg also experiencing notable increases, most of them being very young talents.
