Soudal Quick Step rider Mikel Landa has officially confirmed he will not compete in the Tour de France due to a persistent back injury. Landa, who finished fifth overall last year in his debut season with the team, was set to ride his eighth Tour but has been forced to withdraw.
Expressing deep disappointment, Landa stated he needs to rest and recover, with hopes of returning for the Vuelta a España. His team will now rely on Belgian sprinter Tim Merlier for stage victories.
