Spanish side Mirandés has confirmed its drop to the Primera RFEF, ending a seven‑year run in the professional tiers. The relegation was sealed after a loss to Granada that left the team without any chance of survival in the final round.
Club officials point to a combination of on‑field struggles and the disruption caused by ongoing stadium works at Mendizorroza, which stripped them of a true home advantage. The club’s recent history includes a rapid rise from Segunda’s bottom place in 2017 to a return to professional football within two years, followed by a 2019 promotion and notable cup runs under coach Andoni Iraola.
This season, however, the momentum collapsed, sending Mirandés back to the third tier.
