MLBPA Says Gap Widens Between Owners and Players in New CBA Talks

Bruce Meyer, the interim executive director and chief negotiator for the MLBPA, said the latest proposal from the owners highlights a clear divide between the two sides. With only six months left before the current collective bargaining agreement expires, the gap appears to be widening.

Meyer argued that the owners’ suggested terms do not adequately protect players’ interests. The existing CBA runs out at the end of 2025, and both parties are under pressure to reach a new deal quickly.

When a resolution will be reached remains uncertain.
