NC State Coach Doeren Says QB CJ Bailey Could Be Nation's Top Passer

NC State head coach Dave Doeren praised sophomore quarterback CJ Bailey, saying the athlete has the talent to rank among the nation’s elite passers in the 2026 season. Bailey posted 3,200 passing yards and 28 touchdowns last year, and Doeren highlighted his rapid development, leadership and football IQ during spring practices.

The coach believes Bailey could emerge as a top NFL prospect.
