NCAA Men's and Women's Basketball Tournaments Expand to 76 Teams

The NCAA officially announced that both the men's and women's basketball tournaments are expanding to 76 teams. This marks the first expansion of the men's tournament since 2011 and the first for the women's tournament since 2022.

Board of Directors chair Tim Sands emphasized that this decision is the right move for student-athletes and programs. The expansion will add more highly competitive games to March Madness.
