NY Jets quarterback Geno Smith cleared of battery allegation

Last month a woman accused New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith of battery. The district attorney opened a probe and took the player’s statement.

After reviewing the evidence, prosecutors concluded there was insufficient proof to proceed, and the case was dismissed. Smith is now cleared of the allegation and can concentrate on the upcoming season.
