Padres Pitcher Marinaccio and Manager Stammen Suspended

San Diego Padres pitcher Ron Marinaccio has been handed a three-game suspension and fined for hitting Baltimore slugger Gunnar Henderson during Saturdays game. Padres manager Craig Stammen also received a one-game suspension and a fine due to the incident.

The league office stated that the intentional action violated league standards regarding player safety.
