Pato O'Ward ends McLaren F1 stint to focus on IndyCar

Mexican driver Pato O'Ward, 27, announced his departure from McLaren’s Formula 1 program. He stated that he wants to concentrate on the IndyCar Series and does not seek additional fame or money in F1.

O'Ward thanked McLaren boss Zak Brown for the opportunity but made clear he will not be involved in future reserve duties. He now continues the IndyCar season, currently sitting fifth in the standings.
