Pedro Acosta Stops Race in Dutch GP, Schedules Surgery Before Sachsenring

During the Dutch Grand Prix at Assen, MotoGP rider Pedro Acosta abruptly stopped his bike, signaling a problem with his grip. He later explained that for a year three fingers on his right hand have been numb, affecting his ability to feel the brake lever.

Acosta said the condition varies by circuit, but the loss of sensation forced him to consider surgery rather than continue racing. He plans to have the operation after the Sachsenring event, hoping to return stronger for the remainder of the season.
