Former UEFA president and French football legend Michel Platini assessed Kylian Mbappé's season at Real Madrid and his political opinions during an interview with RTL France. Platini praised the French star's evolution as a player, saying: 'I think Kylian is doing very good work and has evolved in his game.
He has gone from being a less clinical finisher to becoming a goalscorer, a striker. He has also been the top scorer in Spain for two consecutive years.
' However, Platini did not hold back on criticism regarding Mbappé's political statements. 'We are very demanding of him, but we are harder on his public opinions than on his sporting performance,' he remarked.
Mbappé has remained in the spotlight in recent years due to his outspoken political commentary off the pitch.
