Portugal's national team camp in Palm Beach, Miami was struck by tragic news. Assistant coach Ricardo Carvalho's father, Manuel Ribeiro de Carvalho, passed away at the age of 69.
The Portuguese Football Federation extended its condolences to the former defender and his family. Ahead of the last-16 clash against Croatia, a minute of silence was observed during training, with players and staff embracing Carvalho.
The federation confirmed that Carvalho will continue his duties with the team.
