Rafa Cruz has officially marked his professional debut for UD Las Palmas at the age of 16. The young winger entered the pitch in the 60th minute during the match against Albacete Balompié at the Estadio de Gran Canaria.
This appearance makes him the third-youngest player to ever debut for the professional island team. Born on October 24, 2009, Cruz has quickly risen through the ranks after returning to Gran Canaria.
He previously spent a season developing his skills within the Real Madrid youth academy. His introduction to the first team came as a substitute for veteran player Jesé Rodríguez.
