Senators acquire William Eklund from Sharks for ninth pick

The Ottawa Senators made a significant move ahead of the NHL Draft by trading with the San Jose Sharks. Ottawa acquired left winger William Eklund and prospect Kasper Halttunen, sending the ninth overall pick to California.

The deal also includes the rights to prospect Brandon Svoboda heading to the Senators.
