Serena and Venus Williams Return to Doubles Tennis

Serena and Venus Williams are preparing to share the same tennis court once again after a four-year hiatus. The American sisters, who have both returned to the professional tour in singles competition, have accepted an invitation from the organizers of the upcoming WTA 1000 tournament in Cincinnati.

This event, scheduled to take place from August 13 to 23, serves as the final major preparation before the season's last Grand Slam. The last time the iconic duo competed together in doubles was at the 2022 US Open, where they faced a defeat against Lucie Hradecka and Linda Noskova.

Both players were previously forced to withdraw from the doubles draw at Wimbledon due to a knee injury sustained by Serena. Throughout their illustrious careers, the sisters have secured 14 Grand Slam doubles titles between 1999 and 2016.

Additionally, they have achieved immense success on the international stage, winning three Olympic gold medals in 2000, 2008, and 2012.
