Spain's men's field hockey team beat Pakistan 5-1 in the FIH Pro League match in Wavre, securing their third win of the season and sitting seventh. Nico Álvarez opened the scoring in the first half with a skillful strike, followed by a double from Pepe Cunill.
In the second half Marc Reyne added a goal and Álvarez scored again to extend the lead. Pakistan's lone goal came from Abu Mahmood.
Spain will face a strong Belgian side on Tuesday and meet the same opponent again the following weekend.
