Spanish Boxing Legend José Legrá Passes Away at 90 in Madrid

José Legrá, the great Cuban-Spanish boxing champion, has died at the age of 90 in Madrid. Considered one of Spain's greatest athletes of the 1970s, Legrá stood alongside figures like tennis player Manuel Santana and motorcyclist Ángel Nieto.

Arriving from Cuba in 1963 and mentored by 'Kid Tunero,' he began his professional career in Havana in 1960. Legrá made his Spanish debut in Madrid in 1963, knocking out his opponent, and went on to compete in twenty-four fights.
