Carlos Sánchez Martínez, a Spanish engineer with extensive experience in chassis engineering, is set to join Scuderia Ferrari following his departure from Aston Martin. After eight years at the Silverstone campus, he specialized in structural analysis and chassis stress calculations.
His appointment fills one of two senior vacancies opened in Ferrari's technical division this year. The other role has been taken by Luciano Nicomede, who arrives from Mercedes Brackley.
Sánchez Martínez will focus on enhancing the structural integrity of Ferrari's Formula 1 cars during the upcoming season. The move comes after a brief summer hiatus, allowing him to integrate with the Maranello team.
Ferrari aims to leverage his expertise to improve performance and reliability on the track.
