Supplemental Security Income recipients will encounter an unusual payment schedule in July 2026, with two SSI payment dates listed on the Social Security Administration's calendar. The first payment is due on Wednesday, July 1, which is the regular payment date for July benefits.
The second is scheduled for Friday, July 31, but that does not mean recipients are getting a bonus check. The July 31 payment is the August SSI benefit arriving early because August 1 falls on a Saturday.
When the normal SSI payment date lands on a weekend or federal holiday, the SSA sends the money on the previous business day.
