The Maryland Whipsnakes defeated the Utah Archers 8-5 at the Ridley Athletic Complex in Baltimore. Forward TJ Malone recorded a hat trick with three goals.
His strikes gave Whipsnakes a 4-2 lead in the first half through rapid attacks. In the second half the team tightened its defense and extended the margin.
The victory also gave head coach Jim Stagnitta the most wins in the club's history. Stagnitta has guided the squad to a strong league position with consistent performances.
