Tunisia sacks Sabri Lamouchi after 5-1 loss to Sweden in World Cup

After a crushing 5-1 loss to Sweden in the opening group match of the 2026 World Cup, Tunisia's football federation terminated the contract of head coach Sabri Lamouchi. Lamouchi, who took charge in January 2026, oversaw only five matches before the tournament, achieving one win, one draw and three defeats.

The federation stated the decision aims to revitalize the squad and improve performance in the remaining fixtures.
