UEFA has expelled Azerbaijani side Turan Tovuz from the Conference League over allegations of match-fixing. The sanction bars the club from participating in European competitions for the upcoming season.
Turan Tovuz announced its intention to appeal the ruling before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). The ban could damage the reputation of Azerbaijani football on the continental stage.
UEFA warned that any further violations will be met with strict oversight.
