The University of Southern California confirmed that senior center Kilian O'Connor is sidelined for the rest of the football season. O'Connor suffered a leg injury during a non‑contact drill, according to head coach Lincoln Riley.
The injury was severe enough to rule him out for the entire campaign, leaving a void in the Trojans' interior line. O'Connor, a key contributor on both run blocking and pass protection, has been a starter since his freshman year.
His absence forces USC to rely on backup players and adjust its offensive schemes. Coach Riley emphasized the importance of player health and indicated that the team will continue to develop depth at the center position.
The Trojans will look to other linemen to fill the gap as they pursue a successful season.
