Spanish climber Alberto Ginés, 23, secured the men's difficulty title at the World Cup in Chamonix with a 39+ score. The victory adds a gold medal to his collection of six silvers and five bronzes, and follows his Olympic gold at Tokyo 2020.
His rivals included Indonesia’s Putra Tri Ramadani, who posted 38+ in Prague, and South Korea’s Dohyun Lee, the reigning world champion, both of whom fell short of Ginés’s mark.
