Ali Smith's comeback at the 2026 Commonwealth Games
Ali Smith, a double Paralympic gold medalist from the 2018 and 2022 Games, faced two consecutive miscarriages that forced a long hiatus from competition. She has resumed intensive training to qualify for the 2026 Commonwealth Games, working closely with a multidisciplinary support team.
Smith says the experience has strengthened her resolve, and she hopes to compete and take part in the opening ceremony to inspire others.
