Alonso Aims to Bring Aston Martin to Peak Performance at Monaco GP

Two‑time world champion Fernando Alonso expressed optimism ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix, saying the team will operate at the highest level they can control. The new AMR26 car, despite limited power unit and energy deployment, offers promise in a challenging start to the 2026 season.

Team principal Mike Krack highlighted the goal of a strong Q2 performance in qualifying. Alonso reflected on the progress made in Canada and his growing connection with the car.

He expects the squad to be competitive in every controllable aspect for the rest of the year.
