Ángel Correa explains his omission from the 2026 World Cup squad
The FIFA 2026 World Cup kicks off on June 11 with 48 nations competing. When Argentina announced its roster, 2022 champion Ángel Correa was left out.
Coach Lionel Scaloni decided not to include Correa among the 26 players. Correa addressed the decision at a press conference before the CONCACAF Champions Cup final with Tigres.
He said missing the national team was a personal disappointment but he will focus on his club performances. He added that he will keep improving to earn future call‑ups.
